Proctor's Theatre, a former vaudeville house located in Schenectady, NY has undergone the final phase of restoration. EverGreene has been working to restore the historic theatre for nearly 20 years.
For the most recent and final phase of restoration, EverGreene conserved ornamental plaster and decorative paint in the mainstage auditorium and lobby. The balcony fascia was refinished to match the existing ornament, craftsmen restored regions of historic scagliola and sections of plaster and gilding will be restored to match the original. Past restoration campaigns included gilding the auditorium capitals; replicating missing sections of rail molding; repairing badly fractured scagliola in the auditorium mezzanine and refinishing wooden handrails at the mezzanine crossover.
The theatre, boasting one of the largest movie screens in the Northeast also hosts shows on the national Broadway circuit.
