Clemens Center for the Performing Arts

EverGreene was originally selected to create custom Venetian-plaster finishes for more than 5,000 square feet of walls in the Clemens Performing Arts Center. Quotes from Samuel Clemens were embedded in the plaster surfaces, creating an inlay effect.

Additionally, after EverGreene conducted a historic finishes investigation using exposure windows and microscopy, conservators were able to determine the original color palette and decorative scheme implemented in the 1925 theatre. Designers and decorative artists recreated the historic decorative program and the mural depicting the Eternal Garden of Youth that hung in the auditorium ceiling.
