Large-Scale Projects
EverGreene completed on time and within budget a $3.5 million contract for restoration of interior finishes in the $140 million renewal of the monumental Beaux-Art style railroad station. Our services included: Restoration of the ornamental plaster ceilings Restoration of the massive scagliola cornice Decorative painting throughout the interior Conservation of three large murals and supervision of their transport and installation back to their original location in the station. The murals depicting Kansas Citys early history were painted in 1936 by Hildreth Meiere for the Westport Room of the Fred Harvey Restaurant, but had been moved and altered in the last thirty years. |
